Introduction

“What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.” – Dr. Jane Goodall

Megan’s practice focuses on strategically representing her clients’ long-term interest, whether that representation is in the context of an employment-related issue, commercial real estate litigation, or a $30 million transaction. She focuses on both big picture items as well as the details – in both her litigation and non-litigation practice, because context always matters.

At Venn Law Group, we understand our clients’ industries as well as their individual business practices and use that context to help our clients make intentional decisions.

General Counsel
Megan routinely serves as general counsel to multi-state business clients, assisting them in navigating the process of expanding their business. From site acquisition to employment law to dispute resolution and collection efforts, Megan is a valuable part of her client’s team with her wholistic and practical focus on appropriate outcomes for her clients. Megan has provided valuable litigation management services to clients as well – and, at times, will assist in managing litigation that is ongoing in other states.

Commercial Real Estate Litigation
Even in the commercial real estate context, sometimes things can get off track. Whether a client needs to pursue claims as a Plaintiff or is forced to defend claims as a Defendant, Megan regularly guides businesses through the litigation process involving North Carolina Commercial Real Estate. From enforcing commercial lease agreements to litigating real estate related disputes between developers and other commercial clients, including title disputes, Megan focuses on practical approaches for her clients to help mitigate business risk.

Commercial Real Estate
Megan routinely assists her commercial real estate clients in negotiating commercial leases and handling various aspects of the Landlord/Tenant relationship. Similarly, she enjoys the opportunity to assist the firm’s clients with the acquisition and disposition of commercial real estate and assisting clients what land use issues.

Commercial & Employment Litigation
In business, every relationship may start with the best foot forward although end on a sour note. Megan assists her business clients in efficiently resolving those relationships – whether they be contractual or employment-related – in an appropriate manner for her client. Megan has litigated numerous shareholder disputes for closely-held businesses and has guided clients through Post-Closing Mergers & Acquisition Disputes, including Working Capital True-Ups as well as EEOC investigations.
