Introduction
“Great lawyering is a team effort. I collaborate closely with clients and their advisors to craft and execute strategies that drive success—deal by deal and across their entire business.”
Coming from a family of businessmen, accountants, and engineers, Edward understands that most of his clients don’t like thinking about the legal aspects of their deals – they want to get on with the business of running their enterprise. That’s why Edward takes pride in providing clear, concise, actionable legal advice and solutions to business clients across several practice areas.
Since joining the firm in 2019, Edward has managed numerous transactions from conception to closing. On every deal, he works hard to help his clients clarify expectations, set transparent, legible standards, and achieve positive outcomes. Edward especially enjoys assisting clients in buying, selling, and leasing real estate, and takes great pleasure in seeing the tangible results of the work he and his clients accomplish together. He also regularly works with clients on service contracts, asset purchase agreements, and advising and representing clients when deals don’t work out.
Before joining the Venn Law Group, Edward attended the University of North Carolina School of Law, where he was a member of the Holderness Moot Court Appellate Advocacy Team; wrote and edited articles for the Environmental Law Symposium; worked in the Community Development Law Clinic; and performed over 100 hours of pro bono work. Edward is also a proud alumnus of the University of Alabama.
When he’s not hard at work for his clients, Edward can be found in the weight room, on the pitch preparing for a rugby match, in the kitchen learning to cook a new dish, or out in the garden with his family.
